Jaffna Hindu College has prestigious history of 125 Years. In Jaffna, which was under the British rule, to teach English to Tamil Children in a Hindu environment, Messers S.Nagalingam and M.Pasupathichchettiar founded this institution in the year 1890. Hundred years and more have passed since the founding of the Jaffna Hindu College and today as ever the college stands aloft as the premier Hindu Educational Institution in the Island.
